This course introduces the student to basic aircraft drawings, schematics, and diagrams. Students will learn aircraft drawings to the proficiency required to perform normal aircraft inspection and typical repairs and alterations. For example, interpretation of drawings needed to perform an actual or simulated accomplishment of an airworthiness directive. This course will be taught in person. Includes one (1) hour laboratory per week.

This laboratory course companion to TAAE 3003. The laboratory course introduces the student to an applied use of precision measurement tools, aviation hardware, and materials used during aircraft manufacturing, maintenance, and repair. The student will perform technical applied methods of nondestructive testing. The student learns to apply methods of corrosion control and its applications. This course will be taught in person.
